A commercial came on for something that I don’t remember (sorry, I guess they wasted their money…) and one of the actors was describing the product and used the word “epicness”.
His partner asked him if that was a word.
“Did you understand what I meant?”, he responded.
“Yes.”
“Then, it’s a word.”
None of the major, established dictionaries will have epicness in them; in fact my spellcheck is telling me right now that it is incorrect. You can probably find, though, the definition in various online dictionaries. But, his point is also my point…yes, English has lots of rules and some seem inflexible; but English also has a pretty wide strike zone at times…take advantage of it.
Just speak. Try new constructions. No fear.

しかし、おそらく様々なオンライン辞書でその定義を見つけることができるでしょう。
しかし、その出演者の言いたいことは私の言いたいことでもあります。
そう、英語にはたくさんのルールがあり、融通が利かないように見えるものもありますが、英語にはかなり広いストライクゾーンもあります。
とにかく発話しましょう。新しい構文を試してみてください。恐れることはありませんよ。
